Stepping out

Dear Reader,
You’d be so proud of me, because this weekend I WENT OUT! Yes super shocking.
Went out with Jeab and her sister Sa, we initially were going to go to a place called Club 808, which had a special of 350 baht FREE FLOW for ladies.

not bad right? especially when one drink is 150 baht.

Problem: when we reached there, the music SUCKED ASS!!!! really crappy.
So we ended up going to Route 66, the apparent “HAPPENING” place.

You know what? It isn’t really. I seriously do not understand the hype of route, my complaints:
1. No dance floor
2. The DJ plays songs over and over, popular songs are repeated around 3 times per night, sometimes even 4.
3. The crowd is dead.

Anyhoo, had fun none the less. The moment of suspense was during ‘ordering drinks’ .
Dilemna: I can’t drink softdrinks this year, which includes things like bacardi breezer, or the new johnnywalker whisky beverages.
Solution: Ma Tai! (should it be MaeTai?) And then Sa really liked cocktails instead, and she was staring at her lousy smirnoff sprite-tasting kinda drink, so I switched with her and when we “CHEERS” i had to PRETEND to drink, (but i didn’t). Xinhui would be so proud of me! hahah

Anyways, it was a fun night out.
And, this evening I met Neha and Jeab for dinner. I think its more healthy like this, to go out and see people outside my family bubble.

And to ramble a bit more, I find myself completely fascinated about Queen Elizabeth I. Probably due to the Elizabeth I hallmark series (Helen Mirren), and the Elizabeth movie (Cate Blanchett) Been spending the past 2 hours reading online information on her. I really want to buy a biography about her. I’m a sucker for historical romantic love affairs. Especially after watching movies with Robert Dudley (the forbidden-love of her life) being played by sultry hottie Joseph Fiennes, and seductively uncle-hottie Jeremy Irons.

I’ve been missing

Dear Reader,

That’s right I’ve been missing. My bad. Haven’t been in the mood to write much recently, and I can’t believe time has flown by so fast! (already 3 weeks)

Not much has been going on in my life, I tried the GM diet, but wasn’t super disciplined about it, in total I lost 2.5kgs (hurrah!!) but I think I’m gaining it all back now. Must try it again.

I just started going to the gym and I feel great! I am super sore and I can’t even walk, it’s the best feeling in the world. I also took up my friend Richard’s advice, to pick my guitar back up and learn one new chord a day. My newest challenge is to play, “Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley, it is the most played song on my playlist.
To catch up with my blog entries, I’ll be posting separate sections this time instead of one huge entry.

I also watched so many DVDs in the past few weeks.

Most tiring and warped out movie of February has to be : NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. I guess I was supposed to be paying a lot of attention to what Tommy Lee Jones had to say, but I didn’t.

Most anticlimactic movie: ATONEMENT – main actor is a major hottie though, looks like an older version of Gregory Smith (from Everwood).

Most fun movie: ENCHANTED

Most waste-of-time movie: GEORGIA RULES

Most I-So-Would-Have-Done-The-Same movie: THERE WILL BE BLOOD

Most I-Should-Pick-Up-My-Guitar movie: ONCE – I really like these lyrics:

Perdy our Warrior

The most shocking update is that our sweet beautiful perdy was attacked again by the evil dog Lucy. And come to think of it, I’m going to try to do some spy photography and take a photo to show you how she looks like.

I wonder if I’m a big psychic (that’s psychic not psycho) because in that morning that perdy was attacked, I felt like something was going to happen. The normal routine, is for Mommy to come to wake me up at 8:00, then I’ll ask to sleep another 20mins. I’ll wake up get ready for work, and perdy will sleep some more. When I’m just about to go downstairs, perdy will wake up, and I’ll play with her a bit, help her scratch her face and belly, then we’ll go downstairs.

So the morning perdy was hurt, she woke up before me (woken up by barking outside) and asked me to let her out (I trained her well, she must give me paw before I get out of bed for her) and while I was brushing my teeth I heard crazy barking, and I thought to myself, “wow some dog just died.” Then as I’m walking downstairs I hear the maid frantically crying, and I look at perdy and she is sitting there smiling at all of us but she is super dirty and looks like she’s been through a war.

Apparently the maid was walking perdy by our neighbour’s house when THEIR maid open the gate (to let their car come in) and Lucy dashed towards perdy. Perdy is one feisty 70 year old lady, she tried to fight back but was soon on her back and Lucy bit her all over! (but she wasn’t dripping in blood)

We went to the doctor, and the nurse said they will have to shave some of perdy’s fur. Huh?? (that’s what I thought.) Then when the nurse shaved perdy’s injuries, I almost fainted. VAMPIRE MARKS!!!! No wait, more accurate…FANG MARKS!!! Lucy could had really killed perdy if she only targeted perdy’s neck.

In total, perdy got 6 surgical staples, and 2 huge needle injections. She didn’t even blink when they were fixing her up, just looking at me smiling. What a warrior.

Battle wounds:
1 fang mark on her right collar (1 staple)
1 fang mark on her front right thigh (2 staples)
1 fang mark on her back left thigh (1 staples)
1 fang mark on her left lower underbelly (2 staples)

But, maybe that’s because she was outside and needed to be strong, cuz once she got home she had a 180 degree change, limping and crying. 2 nights ago, I went through Japanese Torture, because she kept on crying and I had to wake up and pat her to go back to sleep, she was thirsty so I sleep-walked to getting her a bowl of water. She woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to walk around, but she was in pain, so couldn’t stand up. Goodnessssssssssssssssssssssss. I slept a total of 2 hours that night.
Anyways, she is much better today. I speak about her as if she is human, with human emotions and human logic. Cesar Milan (the dog whisperer) would shake his head in disapproval.
